Funds for this fundraiser go to support the Lawrence Basketball program including all the programs that are designed to build life skills for the kids.  Specifically, the funds are going to support the “additional” programs which cost approximately $20,000 annually.  These are life skill programs such as trips to local colleges, guest speakers, food/clothing for certain student-athletes (based on need), transportation and fees for summer programs held at times designed to keep the youth off the streets engaged in positive, constructive activities. 

In the words of the student-athlete, Lawrence High School Boys Basketball means... "Lawrence High School Boys Basketball Team represents our community and I want to represent my community. I want to be someone in Lawrence that when they see me they know me and say you are that kid from LHS basketball that works hard to make a difference in our community."-M.G.
