Lancer Stride For Pride

Funds for this event go to support the Lawrence Basketball program including all the programs that are designed to build life skills for the kids.  Specifically, the funds are going to support the “additional” programs which cost approximately $20,000 annually.  These are life skill programs such as trips to local colleges, guest speakers, food/clothing for certain student-athletes (based on need), transportation and fees for summer programs held at times designed to keep the youth off the streets engaged in positive, constructive activities. 

In the words of the student-athlete ... "Lawrence High School Basketball means so many things to me. Its more than just the game of basketball and putting on a jersey. Its the opportunity to show my community and others how much of a person I am. Also, to know that Lawrence basketball builds a path for a road toward success. Putting on a jersey and knowing where ever I go to I'm representing my city is the best feeling for me." - J.P.
