Life Eye Opener Program

The Lawrece High School Boys Basketball Program is developing student-athletes of character. To build character, 60 student-athletes will have a professional, a life coach, who they can look up to and develop a positive rapport where they can guide them over the high school years. Student-athletes are encouraged to contact their Life Coach once per week. Each month, student-athletes and Life Coaches will participate in an event that support the Lancer Athletic community. Every other week, the student-athletes will have the opportunity to explore and to learn about various careers through Life Eye Opener speakers . The goal is to expose them to professionals that have completed college and are now in the working world. Professionals such as businessmen, lawyers, doctors, engineers, architect, athletic directors, and coaches are all positive role models for our program's student-athletes. Additionally, it will give them the opportunities for the Lawrence Basketball Program's Alumni to come back and to share their experiences and expertise with our current student-athletes. One day, the student-athletes will be shaping the lives of the next generation by instilling in them honorable characteristics, being role models, and making la diferencia positiva in the City of Lawrence.
